E.ON Energy Markets GmbH is a subsidiary of the E.ON Group headquartered in Essen, Germany.

Its main purpose is to bundle access to trading markets for E.ON's regional units, the associated risks and to perform services and additional value-creating activities.

This includes the provision of portfolio strategies, risk management concepts and business activities in the field of data and information processing.

We are looking for an job title to join our E.ON Energy Markets GmbH team. Our preferred start date will be as soon as possible.

Tasks

You are responsible for the technical integration of decentral energy resources (e.g. largescale BESS, biogas plants, CHPs, wind farms) into our virtual power plant platform
You act as go to person for the software development team to understand what needs to be built and why on the platform side
You specify, implement, maintain and troubleshoot the technical interfaces between the DERs and our VPP using common industrial protocols (e.g. Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 104)
You work on projects which build, commission and operate industrialsized DERs in various European countries (focus DE, UK, NL)
You ensure that the technical solution meets the requirements for the asset to be marketed on relevant energy and flexibility markets
You establish a partner and supplier network which enables the international rollout and ensures reliable asset operation
You manage the interface to the network operators

Qualifications

Completed studies in electrical engineering (or comparable) and many years of relevant professional experience
Track record in the technical integration and operation of (industrial) DERs
Subject matter expertise in flexibility and energy markets
Ideally experience in the operation of virtual power plants and in dealing with SCADA systems (incl. programming knowledge)
Passionate and highly motivated personality
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Willingness to take responsibility for solution development and operation
Fluent in English, German is a plus
