Role Summary:


The Sample Technican is responsible to provide the Magna Electronics Engineering teams with the required sets of A and B Engineering Samples and wire harnesses.

Support delivery to the customer A and B Engineering Samples. Coordinate programming of A, B and C Engineering Samples.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Satisfy demands (through Sample Requests) in alignment with TPLs and PMs
  • Plan Sample Builds/Resources (internal vs external, considering Timing constraints)
  • Prepare SoW for external sample build partners
  • Coordinate with PM, Program Buyers and Plant to order and kit raw material for Samples
  • Order raw material as needed for harnesses only
  • Maintaining a sample planning list (or in a tool) per function name (Configuration, Amount)
  • Maintain KPI (Key Process Indicator) for assigned Project(s)
  • Working with a Team of Technicians to Flash, Test, distribute Samples
  • Creating delivery Notes, Customs Papers with support of Logistics Department
  • Conducting shipment of samples to engineering sites worldwide
  • Updating Samples with latest SW
  • Execute Maintenance and Calibration of relevant tools.
  • The Sample Technican is responsible Cross Project/OEM

Key Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Technical Background (Electronics or similar)
  • Skilled in craftsmanship
  • Preferably experience in Automotive industry
  • Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
  • Technical knowledge of automotive electronics products
  • Knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel, Project and Access)
  • Knowledge of analysis and engineering tools such as version control/configuration management
  • ALM tools (PTC Integrity)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of English (verbal & written) and advanced knowledge (verbal & written) of local language required
