Beschreibung

Duties:


  • Serves as the Assistant Special Security Officer (ASSO), Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC), United States Army, Europe (USAREUR) and Seventh Army.
  • Ensures policy and precedents established meet regulatory requirements of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
  • Provides multifunctional security assignments for technical security, information security, personnel security, automated systems security, security education and intelligence architecture.
  • Serves as an Intelligence Integration Planner.
  • Represents JMSC's position concerning all aspects of security for the operation of SCIFs to higher headquarters and accreditation authorities.
  • Assists in the training and security needs to support current USAREUR intelligence architecture, and directs appropriate actions to fulfill requirements
  • Prepares intelligence planning products and participates in staffwide planning and wargaming using the military decision making process.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
  • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as experience with the administration and/or implementation of at least two of the following intelligence related security disciplines:
Technical Security, Information Security, and/or Personnel Security; and experience with security education or security training.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09).


  • Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligencerelated security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
    OROR**Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
