As a Risk Controls Associate (M/F/d) you will be responsible for conducting effective independent oversight and challenge of the business as well as independent analytics work.


Job responsibilities:


  • Assist with execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation framework through participation in process analysis to assess the business' risk and control environment, identify control and/or data quality issues and understand their root causes, and review actions taken to remediate issues. Verify controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Perform ongoing analysis of program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop adhoc reports as requested to support businessrelated programs and strategies
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the risk control environment through execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE)
  • Assist with development of CORE documentation through participation in endtoend process walkthroughs and deep dives
  • Perform analyses of common and recurring control weaknesses, and monitor results and trends in other relevant indicators (i.e., operational losses, model reviews, etc.) across Risk
  • Evaluate, analyse and track all open action plans to ensure owners are making progress toward planned completion dates using CORE.
  • Review and challenge the evidence to support the closure of issues and action plans

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant experience in financial services industry
  • Ability to understand the business regulations surrounding the business
  • Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance
  • Basic knowledge of German
