Future. Discover. Together.

The working group "Efficient Deep Learning" in the department "Artificial Intelligence" deals with the development of efficient, comprehensible and energy-saving learning methods, as well as the compression and coding of neural networks.

On the one hand, this includes the development of efficient Deep Learning architectures as well as Federated Learning algorithms. On the other hand, efficient coding technologies for neural networks are developed and introduced into international standardization, e.g. in ISO/IEC MPEG or 3GPP.

The research work is done in close cooperation with the Technische Universität Berlin and the BIFOLD-Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data.
