Your role

Are you ready to work in the second lineofdefense for an international credit institution under the supervision of the ECB? Are you an experienced technology and cyber & risk Subject Matter Expert looking for a new challenge? Do you have an IT risk control mindset and ready to build relationships and influence outcomes?
We're looking for Cyber and Technology Risk Controller to:
challenge our first line-of-defense's risk-taking activities and risk assessments through working with Chief Digital Information Office (CDIO) Group Technology teams to review risks associated with cyber and technology and provide guidance on controls

- ensure that information security and technology-related risks are understood, owned, and managed to the approved risk appetite
- provide review and challenge to our businesses on projects, new initiatives, business objectives, processes, risk events, incidents, controls, and/or monitoring
- perform data analysis, deep dive investigations, controls testing, drive specific risk initiatives as required and in support of activities such as Thematic Reviews, Look Across & Dynamic Risk Assessments
- understand and comply with key regulatory, especially Germany and EMEA, and external audit requirements and ensure appropriate treatment and attention is provided by Risk Owners
- contribute to the legal entity Operational risks assessment and reporting processes, as well as liaising with relevant associations, legal entity Governance bodies, and auditors and regulators when needed

Your team

You will be working in UBS Europe SE Operational Risk Control (UBS ESE ORC), based in Frankfurt (Germany), under the oversight and coordination of the Lead Cyber and Tech Risk Controller, being part of our global C&ORC Cyber and Technology Risk team. We are a dynamic, driven, and diverse team of professionals with oversight responsibility for controlling cyber and technology risks arising from any activities carried out by Group Technology within the UBS ESE legal entity and the associated Global Technology Divisions ensuring these risks are managed to UBS' risk appetite.

Your expertise
- a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS or similar discipline, an advanced degree is a plus
- a minimum of 7 years of experience in technology, cyber and technology risk or operational (risk-) management roles ideally within financial services, regulatory agency or consultancy/advisory environment
- strong understanding of IT software development and related SDLC processes, IT control environment, emerging technologies and Cyber & information security threats and risks, Cloud concepts, artificial intelligence, DLT etc.
- strong strategic, judgement and integrative thinking skills, risk management & control knowledge, as well as good organizational, communication and influencing skills
- ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments end-to-end and understand, perform data analysis, and prioritize according to management and business requirements
- be influential, possess high integrity, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- prior working experience, or knowledge, in Wealth Management and its products and solutions as well as within an EMEA legal entity as part of a corporate structure (strongly preferred)
- certifications are a plus (CIA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP)
- experience with financial service regulators and regulations (such as BaFin, ECB, FINMA) (preferred)
