The three domains of the highest complexity for the market are Software, Functional Safety, and Security.

In order to drive the migration to the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) and enable early engagement with the Automotive OEMs, our strategic objective is to develop system expertise on E/E architecture and SDV level.


Your team

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop system solutions leveraging advanced Ethernet Switches and hardware accelerators for SoCs.
  • Work with Automotive customers to demonstrate the value of TSN protocols and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) to enable SDV concepts in zonal architectures and promote NXP's technical solutions.
  • Drive the implementation of SDN (models and tools) and IP/product improvements to optimize SDN support.
  • Contribute to NXP's Vehicle Electronics Architecture (VEA) Lab to create complete system solution packages and ecosystems.
  • Define system requirements for future SW deliverables to empower a distributed Ethernet Switch architecture.
  • Support customers to derive an invehicle network satisfying their E/E architecture, security, and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to workshops and training with Automotive manufacturers and their electronic subsystem suppliers.
  • Link different functions across organizational boundaries towards common aim and success.
  • Contribute to thought leadership activities through presentations at conferences, social media blogs, articles, etc.

Required and desired skills and experience

  • At least five years of experience linked to E/E or system architecture at an Automotive OEM or Tier
  • Handson experience of Ethernetbased network implementations using TSN technologies.
  • Experience with embedded SW development in Automotive context is beneficial.
  • Comprehension of SDN protocols and YANG models.
  • Knowledge of modelling methods and tools is a plus.
  • Experience in implementing Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cyber Security (ISO21434) is a plus.
  • Know to deal with multidisciplinary, multinational teams and able to drive innovative topics to a conclusion.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, paying attention to details and the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Talent to build strong relationships, both to internal and external partners and customers.

Your education and personality

  • University degree in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, crosscultural mindset, team player
  • Independent working style, fast learner, creative, and open for new ideas
  • Fluent in English
