Your tasks and responsibilities at C&A

  • Serve as a generalist to advise and legally support our specialist departments and the management of the European head offices at our well known retail company
  • Work as primary legal business partner for internal clients, focusing on contract and commercial law with an international orientation
  • Draft, negotiate and review a variety of complex contracts, terms & conditions and other legal documents to support C&A's business activities
  • Cooperate cross functionally and provide daytoday legal support to reach practical and serviceoriented solutions covering a broad spectrum of legal matters including sourcing, indirect procurement and logistics as well as CSR related practice areas like supply chain due diligence, human rights risks management and ESG matters
  • You will report to the Unit Lead of the European Legal Center of Expertise.

What we expect of you

  • Fully qualified lawyer ("Volljurist") with two German state examinations (each at least with grade "satisfactory" befriedigend)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in an international commercial law firm or corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge in contractual and commercial law
  • Knowledge or experience in sourcing and logistics law as well as supply chain due diligence and human rights risks management would be an asset
  • Ability to familiarize quickly with new legal practice areas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
  • Good commercial understanding of contractual matters
  • Pragmatic and solutionoriented approach
  • Project management skills
