    For our AD Team in Berlin we are looking for an

    Software Engineer, AD Cloud Software (m/f/x)

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer, AD Cloud Software to join our dynamic team at Nio. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based software solutions that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our cloud applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based software solutions in accordance with industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
    • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure components, such as virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking configurations.
    • Optimize application performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in a cloud environment.
    • Ensure the availability and reliability of cloud-based services through effective monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
    • Implement modern DevOps principles to enable seamless integration, deployment, and automation of software releases.
    • Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications, manage deployments, and optimize resource utilization.
    • Design and implement modern event-driven architectures, leveraging appropriate messaging systems and middlewares.
    • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in cloud computing, software engineering, DevOps, event-driven architecture, and popular middlewares.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • 1+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
    • Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and distributed systems.
    • Professional experience with one or more modern server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Ruby, Go, etc.).
    • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
    • Solid knowledge and experience in designing and implementing modern event-driven architectures.
    • Familiarity with popular middlewares and messaging systems used in event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, Azure Service Bus, Google Cloud Pub/Sub).
    • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
    • Familiarity with cloud deployment tools, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed cloud environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge or experience with modern DevOps principles, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, and version control systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
    • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
    • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing cloud security controls.
    • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Certification, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer).
    • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or Terraform.
