Your team
- You will be part of the Employee Services Division in the Directorate General Human Resources. The division provides integration, health and wellbeing services as well as processing salaries, rewards, allowances and pensions. In addition to assisting more than 4,000 employees throughout their ECB careers and beyond, we support the development and implementation of HR systems at the ECB and deliver stateoftheart HR analytics. We are constantly reviewing our processes, in order to streamline them and make them more customercentric.
In your role as an HR Operations trainee you will be part of a team of 19 members of staff responsible for compensation and benefits-related processes.
Your role
- As a trainee in HR Operations you will:
- respond to staff members' queries on salaries and benefits;
- support the policy work of the team by, for example, data reporting and preparing presentations and communication material;
- contribute to research and benchmarking exercises, preparing statistics and supporting policy implementation reviews;
- support employee benefit processes.
The position offers you excellent opportunities to gain experience working in HR, particularly on daily operations using SAP Human Capital Management (HCM).

Qualifications, experience and skills
- Essential:
- excellent analytical and conceptual skills, and an interest in technical content;
- a very good understanding of the MS Office package;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Desired:
- the ability to collect, explore and transform data;
- experience in data reporting;
- a qualification or experience in HR.
You are curious and eager to learn, and want to further develop your ability to analyse complex information. You are keen to collaborate with others, pursue team goals and learn from other people's diverse perspectives. You strive to know and anticipate stakeholder needs, and will signal any need for change and propose alternative solutions.

Further information
- Traineeship of six months, with the possibility of an extension to a maximum of 12 months in the same business area.
