Research assistant (w/m/d) - 67 %:
The contract will be initially for a period of 3 years. Starting date is 1st of October 2023.

The research project deals with the optical and spin properties of layered materials.

The project involves fabrication of two-dimensional heterostructures based on transition metal dichalcogenides such as MoS2, aided by nanofabrication such as electron beam lithography and plasma etching.

Experience in handling samples grown by CVD is an advantage.

An important part of the project is to mount fabrication facilities for air-sensitive samples and perform detailed, polarization resolved optical spectroscopy in a confocal microscope.

The successful applicant will hold a MSc-degree in Physics or Material Science or an equivalent degree.

The position further requires experience with sample fabrication of layered materials, optical and microscopy techniques, such as atomic force microscopy and Raman scattering and good English oral and writing skills.
