Jimdo was founded by three school friends in 2007 in a farmhouse in Northern Germany.

We have a physical location in Hamburg, Germany, where teams come together for in-person collaboration. Jimdo started as a website builder, and has helped businesses create over 32 million websites. Over the years, our portfolio evolved to specifically serve the unique needs of microbusinesses.

In addition to our GDPR-compliant website builder powered by AI, we offer an online store, logo creator, legal text generator, business listings, social media integration, SEO, and more.

Your Mission
To ignite continuous growth, Jimdo has identified a new avenue of products focusing on the Micro-business segment.

Our marketing department is at the forefront of this process, helping the business target and identify the best ways of reaching our customers.

As part of this, we are looking to bring on board a Senior Designer for Creative Studio to help us grow our Social Media Channels and Community.

Responsibilities

Designing a marketing landing page and homepage, considering layout, visuals, and brand alignment.
Creating advertising assets for digital, print, and outofhome platforms.
Managing and ensuring the quality of work from external designers when necessary.
Providing support for organic social asset design.
Ensuring alignment with Jimdo's brand guidelines.
Collaborating closely with other designers, motion designers, and copywriters.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in design, graphic design, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent job qualifications.
At least 4+ years experience in a similar role working on marketing design for SaaS products.
Knowledge of the design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Knowledge of visual design and visual theory (i.e., composition, color theory, typography, etc.), a sharp eye for layout design, and a strong affinity for the latest design trends.
Effective communication with stakeholders for timeline expectation management and gathering feedback.
Ability to prioritize and quickly pivot between projects.
Ability to communicate with frontend developers to handover your designs and support them.
Ambition to learn about the challenges and opportunities of starting and/or running a small or microbusiness.
Must be located in Germany and willing to travel locally and nationally (or internationally)
Native German Speaker and fluency in English.
