Duties:


  • Responsible for collection related issues for routine, contingency, special access program, and compartmented projects, operations, and exercises.
  • Ensure the successful development and management of innovative all source collection plans and strategies in response to national or theater timesensitive contingency requirements.
  • Serve as Collections Requirement Manager within the Intelligence Directorate (J2) for a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC), Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR).
  • Develop, plans, supports, and/or provides guidance, assistance, and oversight on all collection and production management functions, projects, and activities.
  • Establish direct liaison and coordinates with national, theater, servicespecific, allied/partner, and other organizations/units to ensure Command collection and production requirements are satisfactorily processed and satisfied.
  • Address issues and provides recommendations regarding postcollection processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED).

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a preappointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Special Background Investigation (TS/SBI) and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required 20% or less of the time.
  • This position is considered Emergency-Essential (E-E) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide. See Qualifications section.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS[12] that prepared you to do this job. Specialize experience is defined and experience which includes experience with executing multidiscipline intelligence collection requirements; and experience in developing collection and production management strategies to address intelligence collection needs. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service.
  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate:

Broad knowledge of national intelligence collection, processing, and dissemination systems; Knowledge to use the national level SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, and MASINT collection requirements management system; Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
