Duties:


  • Provides guidance, direction, and supervision to all personnel and activities to the Command?s Personnel Security Branch.
  • Serves as the technical expert for the Command?s Electronic Access Control System (EACS); ensures compliance with established national and international standards for credentialing, identity management, and biometrics.
  • Develops and publishes personnel security policy for Commandwide implementation; analyzes, researches, and resolves complex problems directly related to the Command?s personnel security program.
  • Administers the Command?s Industrial Security Program and NATO Subregistry.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time to include the continent of Africa.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program.

  • Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligencerelated security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
