is a global index provider since 1998, currently calculating a global, comprehensive index family of over 6,500 strictly rules-based and transparent indices.


Since then, STOXX has been at the forefront of market developments, continuously expanding its portfolio of innovative indices, and now operates on a global level, across all asset classes.

The indices are licensed to the world's largest issuers of financial products, capital owners and asset managers as well as to more than 500 companies around the world, and are used for financial products such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), futures, and options, but also for risk and performance measurement.


The STOXX Index Operations is currently organized into 3 units defined as Index Surveillance and Monitoring, Index Review, and Corporate Actions across 4 locations (Frankfurt, Zug, Prague, and Hong Kong) and is responsible for any day-to-day activities related to the maintenance of indices under STOXX mandates.

STOXX Index Operations activities cover indices such as EURO STOXX 50, STOXX Europe 50, STOXX Europe 600, DAX indices, the Bulgarian Exchange Indices, and Customized Indices.

The STOXX Index Operations teams are also involved in any Strategic Projects where expertise on Index implementation maintenance, regulations, and customer interface are required.

The STOXX Index Operations is organized in shifts across multiple locations and covers a time zone from 02:00 to 22:00 CET.


We are currently looking for an Index Associate to reinforce the DAX Index Review unit for our office in Eschborn, Germany.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee holdings and ownership research and audit free float calculations
  • Evaluate business concepts as well as new index concepts in order to provide requirements for ITrelated departments.
  • Coordinate development with ITrelated departments for further technical development and improvement of index review processes.
  • Risk management and planning in order to ensure accurate periodic index reviews.
  • Adequate communication of reviewrelated information via publications and notifications to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours in line with workload and deadlines on an exceptional basis.

Requirements:


  • Hold a master's degree in finance, economics, or mathematics or equivalent
  • At least 1 to 2 years of professional experience in the financial environment (preferably Index Business, Portfolio Business, Asset managers, Product Development or Structuring) and have the understandings of Financial Markets environment, its working constraints and philosophy,
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and knowhow in financial information and financial markets, including an understanding of corporate actions' impacts on an Index
  • Experience and track record in corporate actions research, index operations, Securities and listed companies Operations (Middle and back office), data analysis/cleansing, and data processing rules, and techniques is a plus
  • Be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks timeefficient and autonomously in parallels and work on tight deadlines
  • Be able to work and learn autonomously without a minimum of supervision and training (selfstarter/selflearner)
  • Knowledge of the German language would be a strong advantage.
