In order to support the System Installation team, Airbus Commercial is looking for a

VTP System Installations Design Responsible (d/f/m):

Do you want to be part of the complete Airbus Design Process for the components you are in charge of, from Feasibility Studies over preparing of Installation Drawings until answering of Costumer Requests? You are interested in R&T projects like ZEROe and Hydrogen? Then join our System Installation team in Hamburg.

We are responsible for VTP System Integration of all Airbus Civil Programs, plus MRTT & A400M.

Our objective is the close relationship and satisfaction of our internal and external costumers, based on a wide Engineering knowledge and experience in developing innovative solutions and working in a dynamic agile way in multidisciplinary and transnational teams.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

As part of a highly motivated Airbus team you will be responsible for the integration of the mechanical system installation (Flight Control & Hydraulics) of the Vertical Stabilizer and it's interfaces. You are responsible for the Design and Validation of mechanical system installation for components and assemblies within the RFE Perimeter.
Your main deliverables are Definition Dossiers for Manufacturing and Assembly (Component and Final Assembly Line), answer of Customer Service Requests and Support of R&T projects.
You are also responsible to provide solutions for Production Queries and Non Conformance tasks as NCs and Concessions. The usage of common Airbus Design Tools are part of your daily business.
Your deliverables are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the product is assured using appropriate design tools.
You will be involved in using new tools and methods.
All the expected tasks require a high level of innovation spirit, flexibility in the way of thinking and an open mind set.
This role can involve regular travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Desired skills and qualifications

Educated to a 5 years' degree in Engineering or equal,
Several years experience in mechanical system installation is required,
Experience in CATIA V5 or 3DX beneficial,
You hold a Authorizer Delegation as per A1020 within ATA27 and/or ATA29, or you can show your qualification to receive those one in a short time frame,
Project management skills are welcome,
Strong leadership skills and willingness to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment required,
Open minded spirit and Problem solving oriented mindset,
Team spirit and strong communication skills is a must,
English at negotiation level,
Furthermore basic knowledge of electrical system installation would be a plus.
