For the Iatsenko research group "Genetics of Host-Microbe Interactions" we are looking for a


Postdoc (M/F/div) in Phage-Microbiota Interactions:

- full time / part time -_


Your tasks

  • Conduct research on phagemicrobiota interactions in Drosophila
  • Metagenomebased characterization of bacteriophage communities in Drosophila
  • Isolation and culturedependent characterization of phages
  • Analysis of microbiome community changes after phage treatments

Your qualifications

  • PhD in biology or related relevant fields
  • Strong computational and experimental lab skills in metagenomebased characterization of bacteriophage communities
  • Proven experience in isolation and characterization of phages
  • Published track record
  • High degree of independence, excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience with insects, especially with natural fruit fly populations is a plus
