Introduction
Carnival Maritime is the marine service unit for the Costa Group, a pioneer and leader in Europe's cruise industry.
The unit bundles marine operation competencies and best practices providing the highest safety, health, environmental and compliance standards for cruising.
With the aspiration of achieving net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050, Carnival Maritime has established a new center of excellence with a specific mandate to support the company by defining and executing the decarbonization strategy and its associated multidimensional technological challenges.
With its service and innovation, Carnival Maritime enables the vessels of the two Costa Group brands, Costa Crociere and AIDA Cruises, to meet the current and future needs of the cruise industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting to ensure that all embarking Seafarers are trained and qualified in full compliance with Company's, STCW and Flag State requirements, have passed medical examinations as required and obtained relevant Visa's prior to joining a vessel (focus on vessels scheduled for Brazilian Season and World Cruise)
- Supporting administrative tasks such as maintaining digital personnel files, preparing contracts, checking certificates
- Assisting on projects such as TOP Implementation and 3:3 Rotation
- Assisting the responsible Crew Superintendent on a defined group of positions on conducting crew changes in compliance with the Seafarers' Employment Agreement
- Involvement on further development of the HR processes (Exit Interviews, Mistral Planning & Delegation)
- Any other tasks and organizational duties as may assigned to including vessel visits
Your Profile
- Active enrolment for Bachelor's or Master's degree with focus on Human Resource Management, Shipping, Shipmanagement, Office Administration or equivalent
- Ideally first professional experience in the area of Business Administration or Human Resources Management
- Very good English language skills (English is our company language.)
- Experience with MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Structured and organized way of working
- Service oriented personality with a sense for communication
