Über Alejandra Ventura:

I am from Spain but living the dream in Berlin as coffee profesional, having differents roles and prescpectives, in UK , I decided to have a new adventure here in Berlin. Licensed AST since 2019. 

 

Most of my roles in the past are education related and responsible for the development of the team’s skills, I also choose the best coffees for our customers. I have worked in coffee for 7 years. The most important position was with Taylors st Baristas, where I developed and became a trainer. 2 years ago , I was selected for a fellowship at the Re-Co program, which was life changing, providing access to information, innovation and connections with people from different countries with one purpose, make an impact in the coffee industry. In 2019, I competed in almost all UK competitions.
This experience has given me a new point of view, that education to increase knowledge and understanding is one of the most valuable things we can do.

Erfahrung

 

  • Sourcing our coffees different roasters around the globe, creating an intentional line of products which might help out to find the gap between farmers and roasters, having in our hands privilege information to create a dynamic interaction with our customers and our guests roastery. 
  • Quality control of all coffee comes to us and we serving. 
  • Training all my team, brewing, dial-in, latte art, customer service, and workflow.  
  • One-to-one training during our shift together, both practical and plus an more theoretical knowledge after hours of the shift. 
  • Cupping calibration with all team members every month. 
  • Be the image of our brand, giving examples of the best practices. 
  • Helping our Head chef to have a paring food with our coffees. 
  • Maintenance and calibration of all our equipment. ( grinders, coffee machine, electric tamper, water…) 
  • Planning new stratagies to upsell our products . 
  • Order, stock count, KPI, having a plan for sales to have a profit with minimum wastage. 
  • Training new people who were hired, workflow, coffee extractions, dial-in, latte art, and quality control. 
  • Responsible for customer service satisfaction, training our personal, how to have successful customer service and how to have a nice interaction with them. 
  • Quality control of the coffees SCA stands making sure we were serving consistent and high standard coffees, sending the feedback to the roaster.
