Internship in Global Procurement Packaging (Product Supply Consumer Health) (M/F/d)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Our team is globally responsible for the procurement of packaging materials for Bayer's healthcare production sites.

This means that we are responsible for setting global strategic direction, and for driving long-term supply chain planning to optimize our commercial opportunities and to balance risks.

In close collaboration with our key internal stakeholders in Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Finance, we develop and execute sourcing strategies, supplier development, market insights, and risk management to improve performance on delivery, quality, and cost to enable Bayer's mission - "Health for all, hunger for none".

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
You will have the opportunity to experience many exciting challenges. The projects range from conducting market research, to supporting global tenders and executing supplier management activities.

Examples of potential tasks are:
- support Procurement projects related to packaging materials
- analyze and evaluate supplier proposals
- support global tender and implementation activities (RFX)
- define improvement opportunities in processes and ways of working
- analyze data and develop actionable reports

Your internship at Bayer is intended to help you gain experience and knowledge and it is for the benefit of your professional orientation.

In practice-oriented work, you are extensively supported by experienced employees and can thus deepen your theoretical knowledge.

WHO YOU ARE

Interested in supply chain management and business topics
Previous related work experience is desired
International experience (work or studies abroad) is preferred
Thrive in a busy environment and bring a "can do" attitude with sound personal judgment and strong interpersonal and coordination skills
Positive mindset with a healthy sense of humor and strong working ethics with willingness to take responsibility for your own learning
Analytical mindset and comfortable with data, processes and digital tools
Experience with relevant MS Office programs, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Fluent in business English, both written and spoken
