Quantagonia, a pioneering force in optimization and quantum computing, is seeking a passionate intern in Mathematical Optimization Modeling & Implementation.

Tasks:


  • Understand realworld decision problems and formulate mathematical optimization models (MILP, QUBO) to address them.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of optimization algorithms and contribute to customizing mathematical optimization algorithms to meet specific project requirements.
  • Develop interactive graphical interfaces for showcasing mathematical optimization use cases.

Requirements:


  • Profound understanding of mathematical optimization concepts and algorithms, with a keen interest in expanding your skills in this area. Among others, you are familiar with modeling mixedinteger optimization problems and common algorithms to solve them.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, coupled with handson experience in utilizing mixedinteger solvers like Gurobi, CPLEX, or SCIP.
  • You are currently pursuing a BSc or MSc and enrolled in computer science, mathematics or a related field, preferably with a focus on mathematical optimization/operations research.

We prefer an on-site working model (e.g. remote work of maximum 1-2 days per week) in our office in Frankfurt am Main or Munich, Germany. When working remotely, you need to be located in an EU country.
