For our IRONMAN Europe, Middle East and Africa business and based in Liederbach, Germany we
are actively looking for a highly motivated, fluent English speaking:


LOGISTICS ASSISTANT (internship) (M/F/d):

Summary
The Logistics Assistant will be part of The IRONMAN Group EMEA Logistics team for the 2024 event
season. He or she will support the team to operate the central EMEA warehouse in Liederbach,
Germany, support the delivery of events in Germany and across Europe, coordinate race equipment
and branding across the portfolio of events of The IRONMAN Group across Europe.**
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with the day
  • to
  • day operation of the central EMEA warehouse in collaboration

with the warehouse coordinator:
- receive deliveries, control goods against PO, document and shelve
- prepare outgoing shipments; collect items, draft documentation including customs

paperwork
- support with the booking of transports to and from the warehouse; handle invoices

related to these transports
- maintain accurate track of stock levels, carry out inventory and correct discrepancies

  • Assist by all loading and unloading operations
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Support with the day
  • to
-day management of the tour series
- support with the preparation of tour truck equipment during the off-season
- manage tour schedule and itinerary, coordinate with external partners and local teams
- prepare tour equipment for loading and unloading
- handle invoices related to tour series

  • Support with onsite delivery of logistics across The IRONMAN Group events in Germany
and in Europe
- manage aid stations preparation, dispatch, retrieval and unloading
- manage delivery, distribution, retrieval, refueling and return of a fleet of rental vehicles
across event site
- supervise re-packing of material, record damages or losses, and work with Logistics

colleagues to organize replacements; execute smaller repairs on site as appropriate
- manage event warehouse; local equipment and supplies according to distribution plan
- work with Merchandise department to plan and execute handling of excess product; help

to organize onward transport or return to EMEA warehouse
- ensure timely departure of tour trucks by actively contributing to execution of logistics

Skills and competencies:


  • Related work experience in events and/or logistics is appreciated
  • Ability to manage diversity in job responsibilities with precision and accuracy in work
  • Must be hands on, able to multitask and show proper level of time management
  • Good communication skills as well as willingness to learn and try new things
  • Ability to work well in an international team environment
  • Fluency in English is a strong must, any additional language skills in will be a benefit
- (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Swedish, or other European languages)
  • Open to graduate students in their final stage of education and recent graduates
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of and interest in the sport of triathlon is a plus
  • This position will require occasional work on weekends and occasional travel in the EMEA
