Division Specific Information
The Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) provides industry-leading genetic sciences tools and solutions to advance scientific discovery, enable customers in applied markets and improve global health outcomes.
Specifically, GSD workflows enable biomarker discovery and analysis, predictive genomics, reproductive health solutions, pathogen detection, disease-specific solutions, forensics and human identification.
Instrument Sales Specialist (M/F/d) Genetic Analysis for the Berlin - Hannover Area
Discover Impactful Work:
The Instrument Sales Specialist (m/w/d) is responsible for the promotion and revenue growth of the full Sanger Sequencing as well as Real-time and digital PCR workflow (including Instruments & Consumables) in line with promotion of Thermo Fisher Scientific as the technology leader in Genetic Analysis Solutions.
The role holder will work closely with the Account Managers, Inside Sales and Fisher Scientific sales force in their territory with the objective of growing profits and market share for the Thermo Fisher Life Science Solution Group (LSG).
A day in the Life:
- Achieve the agreed sales target.
- Increase the install base of Thermo Fisher Scientific Instrumentation within the sales territory (Capillary Electrophoresis, Real-Time PCR and dPCR)
- Work together with local sales colleagues to ensure all possible actions are done to secure business in competitive situations.
- Drive business expansion in collaboration with Service & Support, Sales and Market Development.
- Set up and undertake complex negotiations.
- Sales Forecasting anticipate pipeline changes and implement strategy to address shortfalls.
- See trends and coordinate sales activities with sales manager accordingly.
Keys to Success:
Education
- Academic degree (MSc) or equivalent experience in Life Science.
- Sound expertise of Sanger Sequencing Technologies, Real-Time and digital PCR methods.
- Ideally first relevant experiences in sales and account management.
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills as well as excellent communication skills
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Valid Drivers Licence
