In order to support AI Ethics, Airbus Commercial is looking for a

Master's student within the field of AI Ethics (d/f/m), Title of thesis: AI Ethics in Industrial Context:

Location: _Hamburg _
Start: _ _
Duration: _6 months _

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities:

Performing a survey of main trustworthy and ethical AI guidelines as proposed by various organizations.
Investigation on interplay between legal, ethical and technical requirements on AI systems, e.g. trustworthiness and explainability.
Investigation of the impact of novel generative AI tools on AI ethics landscape and requirements.
Contribution to the generation of a proposal for dedicated AI guidelines for industrial companies.
Engagement in global AI and analytics community through holding project showcases and sharing expertise as well as best practices.

Desired skills and qualifications:

Enrolled full time Master Student (d/f/m) in Philosophy, Computer Science, Data Science or similar study fields.
Fundamental understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques.
Fundamental understanding or interest in the ethical dimension of technology in particular AI.
Experience in Python programming would be an advantage.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
