Energy Transition and Digitalization are two of the biggest mega trends for the decades to come.

Munich Re's department New Technologies and Green Tech Solutions combines generating innovative insurance solutions with enabling new businesses in the areas of renewable energies, AI and IoT.

The team consists of about 35 staff members located all around the globe and the head office in Munich.

Overall, there are about 20 different product types starting from performance guarantees for AI algorithms to a lack of sun cover for solar parks.

As business enabler, the unit not only provides tailored solutions shouldering the risk involved in new and green technologies, but also scales successful business models and is constantly on the lookout for emerging technologies and trends (e.g. Hydrogen), anticipates the risks associated with them and develops innovative solutions accordingly.

If you want to experience the development, refinement, distribution and marketing of innovative insurance solutions in the area of green and new technologies in direct interaction with our global clients and partners from various industries join our team as an intern (5-6 months).

We also have a number of part-time positions for motivated students who are keen to continue working for us after a full-time internship and pursue their studies at the same time.

Your job

  • Support the development of holistic, multichannel marketing and sales approaches for defined products and markets together with the team
  • Create content for the different channels in close cooperation with our central Communications unit
  • Support the planning and execution of fairs, conferences and client meetings e.g. Intersolar Europe fair
  • Conduct research on technological, political and socioeconomic developments trends in the areas of Green Technologies, IoT and AI
  • Help to prepare, implement and document sales workshops and marketing trainings with/for colleagues and clients
  • Support the team to create structured sales pitches for defined product lines and align them with the different teams to have a consistent messaging
  • Support with client surveys to better understand clients' needs: setup questionnaires, help to conduct structured client interviews and document insights

Profile:


  • Current master's student with an aboveaverage bachelor's degree and a keen interest in the fields of renewable energies and digitization
  • Initial practical experience with a startup or in corporate business development, consulting or marketing
  • Sound understanding of marketing methodologies and agile working approaches
  • High affinity with technical topics and the development of new business models
  • Creativity, openness, communication skills and eagerness to join an international and interdisciplinary team
