In order to support the Electrical Power & Lighting Systems Department Airbus Helicopters is looking for aSystem Design Responsible - Electrical Power Systems (d/f/m):
The Electrical Power & Lighting Systems department is looking for an experienced technician or engineer profile with good skills in the design, integration or testing of Electrical systems in order to strengthen the team in charge of Electrical generation, conversion and distribution solutions for vertical take-off and landing vehicles in Marignane, on legacy fleet as well as on new developed Helicopter versions.
The Electrical Power & Lighting Systems department is part of the Airbus Helicopters central design office and hosts a transnational team of approximately 35 engineers at the Marignane and Donauwörth sites.

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Define, develop, test, qualify/certify and support new systems and equipment for the entire Airbus Helicopter fleet
- Responsible the design of electrical systems or equipment in collaboration with other departments
- Manage a supplier relationship from the specification to the final industrialization of the parts
- Provide proof of demonstration and support for the certification process
- Define and participate in tests either in Laboratories or on Helicopters
- Support our Assembly lines and our customers by taking charge of troubleshooting activities or by defining maintenance/inspection operations
- Participate in research or innovation activities as well as help the department to improve its skills/experience on existing or new technologies
Desired skills and qualifications
- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related engineering course of study.
- 35 years of professional experience in the field of electrical systems
- Knowledge in electronics, electromechanics, electrical network and distribution or energy storage
- English: business fluent; German/French: advantageous
