    ABOUT BEAM

    Beam is a Berlin-based startup company builder with a bias for (intra-)logistics and technical challenges. We are supported by BEUMER Group – a family business and one of the world's leading intralogistics companies. We offer pre-seed funding, access to potential customers, solid launch support, and validated business opportunities for those who want to launch a startup.

    European logistics companies turn over more than €1,300B annually, making logistics the fourth largest industry in Europe. Startups are only beginning to scratch the surface of the transformation made possible by applying software to business problems, and Beam is a part of this change.

    We are looking for a technical engineer to join one of our pre-seed startups in revolutionizing 3D printing in logistics.

    The solution we have in mind is an AI-powered platform that automates your part identification, redesign, and selection for additive manufacturing technologies.

    Tasks


    WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

    Engage with your role as technical co-founder and build the company on its way from zero to one.

    • Build and lead technical development, be a product owner, and make sure to launch world-class products with the team of your own choice.
    • Be part of our success story and support us in implementing structures and processes and hiring an all-star team
    • This role is part of our Entrepreneur in Residence program and pays a monthly stipend of 2.5k EUR per month until you're funded.

    Requirements


    YOU'LL BE THE PERFECT MATCH IF

    You have deep expertise in 3D graphics: Understanding the nuances of creating and manipulating 3D visuals is key.

    • Proficiency in Machine Learning and AI: Given the nature of the startup, it's essential to have a strong foundation in these areas
    • Strong coding skills: As we're in the initial stages, she/he should be comfortable diving into code and laying the groundwork.
    • Cloud-based solutions expertise: Given our project's data-intensive nature, cloud solutions experience will be invaluable.
    • You have an impressive track record of running your own startups.
    • You have a network in logistics technology or supply chain technology.
    • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and bring an excellent leadership mindset.
    • You have experience in additive manufacturing and material science and can interpret and optimize the parts and designs we work with.
