The Field Service Representative will serve the point of contact to coordinate maintenance and sustainment of training aids and devices at the 7th Army Training Command's Joint Multinational Readiness Centre in Hohenfels, Germany.
This position provides technical support to assist with customer support in daily training device component repairs for the ATMP (Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program) contract, primarily for the Cyber Environment Replication (CER) and the Opposing Force (OPFOR) Surrogate Wheeled Vehicle (OSWV) Visual Modification (VISMOD) system.
Tasks (not all inclusive):Coordinate replacement of CER components between Lockheed Martin and the CER maintenance and sustainment contractor
Coordinate replacement and/or repair of OSWV VISMODs with the repair vendor
Secondary responsibility for the Soldier Non-Systems (SNS) program to include the repair of MILES.
A situational event (such as an exercise, heavy utilization, fill in during another employee absence) may require the employee to support other European installations for Soldier Non-Systems devices.
Must be able to use ATMP Management Information System (MIS) to record all maintenance and inventory actions.Due to the nature of this position and location, applicants must be a US citizen with security clearance.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Experience with Tactical Engagement Simulations Systems and electronics is preferable.
Experience with assembly, disassembly of TESS devices and component parts are primary required skills.
Must have some TESS repair experience; experience with MILES devices preferred.
Beginning to intermediate knowledge of electronic systems and components.
Secondary skills with ATMP database (AWARE) or similar information management systems such as ERP or MRP skills are helpful and will be strongly considered an asset to track work orders.
Ability to recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.Experience setting up standard test apparatus or devices test equipment to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests.
Must be physically capable of installing tactical engagement simulation systems (TESS) on military vehicles, both tactical and non-tactical
Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
High level of personal initiative and effective time management; strong organizational skills to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines
Experience with SAP-based or similar management information system applications preferred
