The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society.

The school offers master's programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research.

Its extensive international network positions it as an ambassador of good governance, characterised by public debate and engagement. The school was founded in 2003 by the Hertie Foundation, which remains its major funder. The Hertie School is accredited by the state and the German Science Council.

To support our marketing team, we are looking for a committed

Student Assistant - Digital Marketing
(10 hours per week)

for the editing and maintenance of our website, especially the German pages, as well as for the translation of content from English into German.

The contract should start on and is initially limited to 12 months.

Your tasks:

Editing and updating the website (hertie), especially the German variant, using our content management system Typo
Translating English content (texts, news, announcements) into German
Ensuring the consistency and quality of website content
Collaboration with various departments to collect and prepare content
Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to improve the user experience on the website

Your profile:

Enrolled student at a German college or university
Excellent language skills in German and English (preferably C2)
Experience in working with content management systems, e.g. Typo
Strong ability to translate accurately and in a stylistically appropriate manner
Careful, independent and reliable way of working
Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team
Interest in governance, politics and international relations
