Join us as an Origination Vice President, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a new career challenge at NatWest in Frankfurt for our European Sponsor Leveraged Finance business
Joining an established and marketleading Leveraged Finance business, you'll contribute towards the delivery of our Leveraged & Acquisition franchise for our sponsor clients in the European market

What you'll do:

In this high-profile role, you'll be focussed on structuring and executing Leveraged Finance deals in the European market, working on transactions for the leading private equity players in Europe across a broad range of sectors and asset classes.

You'll provide support to senior originators in building and maintaining the business with a defined set of clients.

You'll also drive strategic dialogue with clients using sector and capital structure expertise across geographies and products in conjunction with our partner teams in Risk, Product, Coverage, and Portfolio Management.

You'll also:

Provide strong execution capability to deliver appropriate solutions to financial sponsor clients across Europe
Look for opportunities to expand the scope and profitability of NatWest by identifying and originating new opportunities from existing relationships or developing new profitable relationships in a timely manner
Support the origination of transactions with clients and advisers on your peer level and generate business ideas
Develop a strong network of relationships with Coverage, Product, Credit, and Portfolio Management in order to grow and sustain the Leveraged Finance business
Provide support and guidance to other team members and share your knowledge and experience

The skills you'll need:

To succeed in this role, you'll need experience of demonstrating commercial capabilities to create relevant solutions for clients that are profitable for the bank, and the ability to work effectively and engagingly with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Additionally, you'll need strong analytical skills, coupled with a track record of working with others to deliver complex transactions for clients.

You'll also need:

Experience in credit underwriting, financial modelling, and financial statement analysis, with strong accounting skills and knowledge
Strong written and verbal communications skills
The ability to be detailoriented with exceptional critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
A practical understanding and experience of risk management disciplines
The proven ability to deliver to stretching transaction deadlines
To speak, write, and read fluently in English
