In order to support Vehicle Tests Means (Destructive Component Testing), Airbus Helicopters is looking for a

Bachelorand (d/f/m) in the field of Vehicle Test Means - Crack detection and propagation technologies

Location:
Donauwörth

Start:
August/September 2024

Duration: 5 months

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Benchmark of crack detection and surveillance methodologies existing on the market (crack wire, conductive silver varnish, crack strain gauge etc) with pros/cons analysis including scope technical limitations, accuracy/ sensitivity, costs, related investments, implementation difficulties,
Organisation of comparative test between different technologies, in the vehicle test center environment
Guideline redaction for test department

Desired skills and qualifications

Enrolled fulltime student in the area of electrical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or an equivalent field of study
First practical experience in the field of testing and measurement is desirable
Organizational talent, strong teamwork and communication skills.
Independent and proactive way of working.
Language Skills: Fluent in German and English
