Your challenge:

As our Team Lead Accounting within the Operational Finance team, you will participate in and oversee our accounting operations across the group, guide and maintain a growing team of professionals to professional and personal success.

You will be reporting to our Head of Operational Finance and collaborating with our CFO, Head of FP&A and other important internal and external stakeholders.

You'll safeguard meticulously maintained processes and records and to help us achieve sustained commercial and personal growth.

Your responsibilities:

As our Team Lead Accounting, you will be responsible for the recruitment, management, and development of the accounting team, onsite and remote, including training and mentoring.
You continuously optimize and automate financial accounting processes across our multinational group and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting principles in the area of accounting and taxes.
You implement quality standards and guidelines and adapt them to current developments, support the further development of accounting and continuously develop internal (accounting) processes and systems.
You are the contact person for our specialist departments in accounting matters and work closely with other teams (e.g. reporting, controlling).
You analyze, monitor, and manage cash flow, working capital, and banking matters with your team.

Your profile:

You have a strong theoretical and practical background in accounting in an international context.
You have not just operated accounting software but have also been closely involved in implementing and optimising it.
Ideally, you'll have worked in a large start up / scale up environment for at least 3 years, independently driving international growth from a financial perspective.
You thrive in international and diverse teams, act on strong leadership principles, and have strong communication skills.
You have strong Excel skills.
You have a comprehensive grasp of IFRS and HGB.
You're fluent in English and ideally speak conversational German
