- The MSEHSE Finance COO team comprises of three employees based in Frankfurt. The team work closely with the EMEA Finance COO team based in London.
- The Finance Department reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records and by contributing to Firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

- What will you be doing?
- Support the MSEHSE Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and wider MSEHSE Finance management in the operations of the MSEHSE Finance division and the execution of divisional and firm strategy
- Manage departmental resources including headcount and expense management in all aspects of budget setting, monitoring and forecasting to ensure expense discipline is maintained and firm policies are followed
- Manage the MSEHSE Finance department's people agenda including recruitment, career development and employee engagement
- Coordinate divisional governance materials for use at both executive and nonexecutive governance forums (including management and supervisory boards and their committees)
- Manage the delivery of highquality crossFinance regulatory and compliance driven projects, workshops, information requests and initiatives, including compiling and reviewing of materials and assisting with the coordination of gap analyses
- Support Finance in its engagement with the ECB and provide central coordination for, and challenge of, regulatory communications and responses across the Division
- Oversee divisional compliance with local and firmwide outsourcing control and governance requirements
- Coordinate MSEHSE Finance operational risk activities, partnering closely with the global Finance Risk and Assurance team, including but not limited to reviewing the closure evidence to Audit and regulatory findings and representing MSEHSE Finance at key operational risk forums
- Develop strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across other divisions including HR, Legal and Compliance, Corporate Services, Risk and Firm Management functions and represent MSEHSE Finance at relevant firmwide forums
- Lead a team of three (together the "MSEHSE Finance COO team") and partner with the EMEA Finance COO team based in London in order to execute on the above
QUALIFICATIONS
- What we're looking for:
- Proven experience at a global financial institution preferably in the Finance division or a similar control function
- Proven track record in a COO or business manager role at a large institution
- The ability to attract, develop and retain talent with experience in developing and implementing people strategies in this regard
- Proven track record of leading people and managing change

- Excellent communication, influencing, decision making and relationship development skills to gain the credibility of key stakeholders
- Fluency in both English and German language
