About the Role:

Our International Accounting Team in EMEA is looking for a Technical Accountant (f/m/d) to join the team in Putzbrunn near Munich, Germany.

In this role, you will provide a full range of technical accounting services for the EMEA and South American regions of Gore.

The role will also support our global financial reporting compliance efforts.

This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn near Munich, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

Draft or review technical white papers (memorandums) to address accounting issues/transactions
Issue technical accounting polices for our global organization and provide training
Provide US GAAP technical guidance on an adhoc basis
Partner with regional, divisional, and corporate accounting teams and the business functions to ensure accurate financial statements
Liase with external auditors and other external consultants/service providers
Support the implementation of new accounting standards
Support the accounting for acquisitions and divestitures and other significant transacts as they arise
Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements
Support the internal control environment

Required Qualifications:

University degree in Accounting or Finance and/or professional accountancy qualification (CPA or equivalent), with at least 5 years of external "Big 4" auditing experience
Strong US GAAP technical knowledge and research capability (will consider IFRS technical knowledge)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
Acquisition and divestiture experience a plus
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international environment
Experience with financial statements, consolidations and external reporting is helpful
Experience with process/controls documentation is a plus
Fluent in English, any additional language skills would be considered as an advantage
