Tasks:

Your daily responsibilities in the Editorial Research Intelligence department will be comprised of two components: research, including content database management, and editorial work - as detailed below:

Research & content management tasks:

Conducting desktop research using secondary data sources on the global, North American, and European markets in energy and natural resources with a focus on the fossil fuels and/or the mining industry.
Developing an understanding of valid data sources and potential data partners in the industry
Active generation of interesting and engaging research topics for database development in close communication with the team lead and fellow editors
Managing the SEOoptimized web content via the Statista Content Management System (CMS) in accordance with department goals and guidelines by monitoring usage and keeping the database up to date

Editorial tasks:

Creating and maintaining a host of editorial products, including individual statistics, statistics reports (expanded data reports), as well as topic

- and industry-specific written reports

Striving to develop an indepth knowledge of your industry topics

Requirements:

Successful completion of undergraduate studies (geography, geology, engineering, environmental studies, or related fields are an asset but not required)
Exceptional written and spoken English skills—editorial experience in English is a bonus
