Job Title:
System Test Architect (M/F/d)


In this role, you have the opportunity to


be an integral part of a group of world-class Systems Test Engineers that ensure the high quality and standards compliance of our patient monitoring devices to help save lives all over the world.


You are responsible for

  • Define and implement an E2E integration and verification test strategy at the part, element and system level to enable efficient and effective product release.
  • Lead HW and system test strategy, including influencing product/solution design decisions.
  • Develop the vision and standards for HW and system testing, including the vision for automation
  • Provide input on automation feasibility & what needs to be automated
  • Lead and participate in test case development, review, execution, reporting and traceability
  • Support estimation, planning, resource identification and risk management activities related to testing and verification activities
  • Participate in the review of test deliverables
  • Manage technical communication within the team and with partners/stakeholders
  • Participate in test improvement and automation initiatives to increase productivity
  • Explore opportunities for test automation in assigned areas
  • Mentor junior testers in testing activities as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

You are a part of
the global Hardware Test Engineering organization within the Hospital Patient Monitoring business. You have a direct reporting line to one of the subgroup leaders located in Boeblingen, Germany or Andover, USA.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant field (Electrical/ Electronics / Mechanical/ Computer Science)
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in HW Testing (preferably in the medical domain)
  • Well versed in Hardwareinloop (HiL) architecture
  • Extensive knowledge and experience on test discipline, test strategy, test authoring and reviews
  • HandsonExperience with National Instruments (NI) hardware
  • Knowledge in NI TestStand, VeriStand and NI LabVIEW Software is a plus
  • Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, I2C, Ethernet etc.)
  • Knowledge of Firmware and experience in circuit board design is a plus
  • Good team player and experience managing a team of 24 members is a plus
  • Experience in planning and execution using Agile methodology
  • Understanding of development processes (Software/ HW) and System Test Lifecycle
  • Hazard and standard compliance knowledge
  • Structured problemsolving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
