    Summary

    This job is responsible for providing human resources leadership for our R&D and Sales organization. This role will serve as a local subject matter expert for all human resources, talent management and employee relations. The HR Manager (f/m/d) will lead a team of two HR Generalists (f/m/d) in Berlin.

    Responsibilities of this role:

  • Execute all day-to-day operations related to staffing, talent management and employee relations
  • Collaborate with the workers council; developing a company constitution
  • Collaborate with R&D and sales organization to understand and execute the HR and talent strategy in relation to current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention and succession planning
  • Serves as the HR subject matter expert for Novanta annual processes (performance management, talent and succession planning, compensation planning) to ensure effective deployment and achievement of business objectives
  • Serves as a member of the leadership team and provides guidance and direction to team members on human resources matters
  • Formulate learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities
  • Analyses trends in compensation; researches competitive salary programs to ensure that the company attracts and retains top talent
  • Identify opportunities to improve human resources policies and procedures
  • Provides business and functional guidance and advice on the implementation of various human resources activities and business measures in compliance with local labour laws and customs

    • Education

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

    Professional Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' human resource management experience (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired).
  • Comprehensive understanding of common human resources processes, and practices in a manufacturing or retail environment
  • Good experience in collaborating with workers council
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Very good knowledge of English (min. C2) and good knowledge of German (min. B2)
  • Competent handling of Microsoft Office Suite
