The Role:


What is the role
This role works as loyalty product owner representing the German loyalty program within a global IT project.

It is essential to collect and prioritize requirements from local business and hand them over to global IT, including being the first point of contact for IT and demand shaping.

Alongside, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring a great and improved customer journey across Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) as well as delivering business readiness activities, such as internal and customer communications.


The role requires communication and collaboration with local business and global IT (and business) stakeholders both virtually and in person.

It is required to be aware of overall project delivery timeline to plan and execute business readiness activities accordingly. The incumbent will also manage smaller sub-projects.


The specific tasks will include:

  • Demand Shaping for current & future CVPs (loyalty points scheme, discounts, subscriptions, partner offers, customer account management)
  • Requirement Clarification with IT/Business
  • Ensuring UI/UX development for new loyalty website and in existing app
  • Planning, preparing, executing business readiness activities (training of business and CSC, testing, piloting, go live preparation in general)
  • Engagement of site teams (communication, training, KPIs)
  • Project Management, Internal Comms & Project Updates
  • External customer communication, marketing campaign on site and owned digital channels

What we need from you

  • Project Management experience
  • Evidence of customer centric mindset
  • Stakeholder Management skills, multiple teams in business and IT
  • Marketing / Loyalty experience, ideally marketing campaigns or product (re)launch
  • Experience in UI/UX and customer journey management is an advantage
  • Strong language skills in German and English
  • Good skills in prioritizing
  • Ability to work both on high level overseeing the programme and on detailed process level
  • Willing to work in an evolving project environment where prioritization and tasks may change
  • Comfortable with working with global stakeholders virtually
  • Degree in business administration, economics, marketing, business informatics or similar


The role is located in Hamburg, with some travel requirements outside of Hamburg (less than 5%) and occasional site visits for testing/piloting in Hamburg.
