Your mission:


With immediate effect, we are looking to hire a full-time
Scientific Associate (m/w/d) to support our Team in
Monheim am Rhein.



Responsibilities:


  • Analysis of bulk and single cell sequencing datasets
  • Analysis of molecular cartography spatial transcriptomics datasets
  • Multiparametric data analysis of mixed OMICs data
  • Ability to plan and execute wet lab experiments is a plus
  • Participation and active contribution to group meetings

Your profile:


  • You have a PhD in biology or bioinformatics, MSc is the mínimal qualification
  • You have experience with the analysis of single cell RNA sequencing data using stateofthe art packages such as Scanpy or Seurat and custom scripts.
  • You are proficient in one or more scripting languages such as R or Python
  • You speak German and English fluently

Further experiences are a plus:


  • Wetlab experience with molecular biology techniques (especially with RNA), in situ hybridization, singlecell sequencing or spatial biology techniques
  • Additional experience with other OMICs data analyses such as highcontentmicroscopy or proteomics data sets
  • Experience with fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
  • Experience with cryotome and/or microtome sectioning
  • Knowledge in image analysis routines / respective software packages or additional informatics tasks such as relational database design and usage
