Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Mobile Device Management (MDM) Administrator or similar role;
- Strong knowledge of MDM platforms (e.g., VMware AirWatch, MobileIron, Microsoft Intune) and mobile operating systems (iOS, Android);
- Strong knowledge (minimum 3 years) of RedHat and CentOS based Operating Systems;
- Strong knowledge (minimum 3 years) of Windows based Operating Systems.;
- Strong knowledge (minimum 3 years) as VMware ESXi Administrator or similar role;
- Familiarity with network protocols, security standards (e.g., SSL, VPN, LDAP), and mobile device encryption methods;
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues;
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities;
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional
- Digital Workspace, MobileIron Certified Administrator);
- Previous NATO assignment/ Experience working in an international / military environment;
- Experience in working with contractor firms in system administration matters.
Duties/role:
- Developing, configuring, and maintaining the Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure, including servers, networks, and associated software;
- Staying updated on product releases, firmware updates, and industry trends to make informed decisions about MDM technologies and solutions;
- Developing, implementing, and enforcing MDM policies and configurations to ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and NATO policies;
- Monitoring and managing device security, including encryption, authentication, auditing, remote location and wipe capabilities, and compliance checks;
- Responding to security incidents and implementing remediation measures promptly;
- Ensuring proper licensing, version control, and compatibility with device configurations;
- Ensuring timely deployment of software updates, patches, and firmware updates to mobile devices and the MDM environment to mitigate security vulnerabilities and optimize performance;
- Enrolling, provisioning, and configuring mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) onto the MDM platform, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and security standards;
- Monitoring device performance, connectivity, and usage;
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to mobile devices and MDM functionality;
- Providing technical support and assistance to endusers as needed;
- Contacting the technical support provider to open and manage technical cases whenever required;
- Collaborating with the rest of the technical team, security, and other stakeholders to align MDM policies and procedures with organizational goals and industry best practices;
- Providing training and guidance to endusers on MDM functionality and best practices.
