JOB DESCRIPTION:

At Inceptive, you will play a crucial part in the fast growth of a cutting-edge company working on technologies inspired by the fields of biochemistry, machine learning, molecular biology, software engineering, and systems biology.

Responsibilities will be in areas such as finance, compliance, HR, administration, process creation and management. You will collaborate across the company and externally where needed. You are hence an integral part of our culture and its representation to the outside. To excel in this job, you have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, as well as attention to detail.


YOUR MISSION:

• USA HR & Compliance
• Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs
• Ensures compliance and keeps up to date with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
• Payroll administration
• Creates structure and processes to oversee and manage organizational and business regulatory compliance issues
• Builds out and solidifies HR system for sustainable growth of the company
• Experience overseeing global compliance or with HR administration in the EU is a plus
• Finance
• Manages processes for financial forecasting and budgets
• Oversees the preparation of all financial reporting
• Runs analysis and provides strategic recommendations for finance and accounting in collaboration with other functions
• Administration, project management, process creation, and implementation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability and eagerness to zoom in and zoom out, i.e. understand the big picture, find creative solutions to complex problems, and drive projects endtoend on the ground, taking responsibility for the execution.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitudes with team members from a wide variety of backgrounds.
• Availability to accommodate working with team members across different time zones (mainly in CET and PT) and different locations. This includes being available for some early or late meetings and readiness to travel several times a year for company retreats and business events.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in working in a startup or fastpaced environment, where ownership is key and navigating ambiguity is second nature.
• Knowledge of the industries around RNAbased biotechnology and/or machine learning, or the startup scene.
• A growth mindset and strategic thinking.
• For HR and Compliance specifically and on top of the USfocused expertise: experience and vision of a global organization with contributors and partners across geolocations, different rules and regulations, as well as culture.
