  • The Head of Business Excellence is an exciting senior leadership mandate. The role offers the opportunity to join a leading global asset manager's digitalfirst company, who are reshaping the future of wealth management and financial planning in Germany and beyond.
We have been retained by the fintech arm of a global investment management company. The firm have been established to provide solutions beyond traditional investment management. They are an innovative, digital-first start-up that focusses on delivering wealth management technology solutions in the DACH market.

They are a full-service independent digital wealth management distribution platform (execution and advice) for independent financial advisors (IFAs), IFA networks & intermediaries in Germany.


Their ambition is to replicate this across the rest of the DACH region, Europe and beyond over the coming years.

Their unique set-up allows the firm to draw on resources from its well-established parent company, whilst the start-up nature of the business unit ensures the culture is exciting, fast-paced and entrepreneurial.

The firm's unique technology is the basis for their success, flanked by value-added services that enable personal and scalable financial planning.


Working closely with the CEO and Managing Director in Frankfurt, this appointment will be part of the leadership team and will work closely with the key stakeholders across the wider group.


Key aspects of the appointment:

  • Create the operating model: Establishing the operational framework and structure which will ensure the business runs smoothly. The Head of Business Excellence should continuously look for ways to improve how work is done within the business.
  • R
egulatory requirements: Understand the requirements of securing the 15 BAFIN regulators about the protocols in place to meet the legal requirements. Establish flexible standards that are right for a growing start-up in a highly regulated industry.

  • R
isk mitigation: Organise and lead the oversight required for a licensed entity. Design, shape and test the controls in place to identify risks. Create balanced solutions that support the company's growth potential while minimising exposure.

  • Innovation and improvement: Look for better ways of working through process improvement, automation and the use of new tools and capabilities. Advocate ways the team can work smarter, not harder, so there is more time to dedicate to customers.
