WHAT WE OFFER

Our functional area CEO (Chief Executive Officer) is responsible for the strategic direction, further development as well as the corporate culture of Covestro and includes, among others, all steering functions of the Group.

As part of the global Digital R&D team you will play an important role in strengthening our Digital R&D activities.

Your tasks:

It's up to you to design, implement and test a pipeline for chemistry aware question answering with large language models (GPT3 family and open source variants)
You will experiment with data augmentation like chemical structure input, chemical name representations or data input from paper source (OCR)
You communicate your results to a community of technical experts and an auditorium of potential end users

WHAT YOU OFFER You have already gained Knowledge of a relevant programming language in the field (python, R) and first experiences with machine learning workflows and libraries (e.g.

Hugging Face Transformers) Basic knowledge of organic chemistry is a huge plus, but not a must have- You exhibit the following working-style characteristics: analytical, structured, highly self-motivated, communicative, and enjoy working in a team- Excellent written and spoken English skills round off your profile, German would be a plus
