Working Student Flight Control (M/F/d)
(fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible)

We are looking for a passionate working student to join our Flight Control team.

As a working student, you will contribute to the development of flight control laws, and deal with deployment of the developed algorithms on the Pixhawk 6X board for a scaled prototype UAV.

Furthermore, you will support in flight testing and flight test data evaluation for the scaled prototype.

Working in our team means to learn something new every day, work with many different disciplines and teams and actively contribute to shaping tomorrow's aviation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Adapting of existing flight control algorithms to the scaled prototype in Simulink
Manage deployment of flight control software on the Pixhawk 6X hardware
Setup toolchain for data logging on Pixhawk 6X
Setup connection and interaction of the software deployed on Pixhawk 6x with Remote Control Hardware
Support in flight tests and flight test data evaluation

YOUR PROFILE
you should

Be enrolled as a student in Master of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical course of study
Bring good knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink
Have handson experience in flying UAVs or RC aircraft
Have general interest in aviation and flight control development in particular
Be selfdriven and have structured way of working
Be passionate and curious about electric aviation and novel aircraft concepts
Have good English skills

Moreover, we appreciate if you
- have experience in at least one of these programming languages: Python, C++, HTML/Javascript
- are familiar with fundamentals of electronics
