A Snapshot of Your Day

  • The role is mission critical to the digitalization of the Compression Business. The main responsibility will be to drive a seamless data flow, provide guidance on data architecture, data utilization, and ultimately to enable data mining for future AI optimizations. The role is responsible for the selection and design tools of all the compressor product line offerings, and for the development of digital product offerings. The role has a significant impact on reduction of nonconformance costs through the reuse of data and improvement of data handovers within the selection and design process.


The position reports to the Head of Product Management on the N-3 Level and is directly responsible for managing a global team of 49 engineers.


The ultimate objective is to deliver a continuous data flow and digitalization experience from the proposal/bidding phase, through engineering, procurement and manufacturing all the way to installation, commissioning, and ultimately service.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute the strategy for a seamless "digital thread" for the product selection and design automation of all the compressor product lines.
  • Delivery of the KBT developed software to the required quality, schedule and budget.
  • Talent development for the specialized skills required for the function.
  • Resource management, increase of capacity and capability of the global team, optimal utilization of best cost country own teams as well as third party resources.
  • Build a partnership with the key stakeholders in the organization, including engineering, bid management, and service.

What You Bring

  • Masters degree in related field of engineering of Information Technology is preferred
  • 10 years of experience in the ITrelated environment of mechanical engineering
  • Proven experience conceptualizing, architecting, and constructing engineering automation software solutions for complex engineeredtoorder products, and associated processes, proven in previous positions
  • Experience in software development with Microsoft technologies and their utilization in solving complex engineering challenges
  • Experience with CITRIX deployment and/or cloudbased (AWS, Azure, etc) deployment is preferred
  • Direct experience in more than one phase of the endtoend business process including quoting and proposal development, cost estimating, product engineering, manufacturing, technology & innovation, and installation/commissioning or service
  • Proven experience in leading software development teams in a global and culturally diverse organization, including virtual and distributed teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills, ability to present complex technical information in a clear and understandable way
  • Up to 30% travel including international should be expected
  • English is required
