Duties:


  • Incumbent serves as a Collaboration Support Specialist in the Network Management Branch, Regional Cyber Center
  • Europe.
  • Selectee proactively coordinates and carries out the activities and processes required to implement, operate, and maintain premier collaboration services as a Network Operations Specialist.
  • Builds, tests, and delivers capabilities to provide services specified by the design process; conducts systems acceptance testing to mark formal transfer of designs into operations from engineering.
  • Optimizes the capabilities of IT infrastructure, services, and supporting organizations to deliver cost effective and sustained levels of availability.
  • Minimizes the impact of incidents and problems on business services caused by errors within the IT infrastructure and prevents the reoccurrence of incidents related to these errors.
  • Restores normal service operations as quickly as possible to minimize impact on business services.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required approximately 10% of the time requiring the employee to travel away from the normal duty station.
  • This position requires the incumbent to hold Foundational Qualification Option personnel certification under DoD M (Cyberspace Foundational Options)
- and the qualification standards in accordance with DoDDs 1100.4, , and or demonstrate qualifying experience as outlined in DoD

  • Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required Foundational Qualification Option (FQO) for certification/recertification per Cyberspace Workforce Roles:
  • 441 (Network Operations Specialist): FQO Advanced; 541 (Vulnerability Assessment Analyst): FQO Basic (or higher); 411 (Technical Support Specialist): FQO Basic (or higher).
  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (T5/SSBI) with [Secret/Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI)] clearance eligibility.
  • The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program)
- and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. (For Top Secret or SCI positions)

  • This position is designated as mission critical.
  • Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
  • May be required to carry a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) cellular device.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license within 60 days of arrival.
  • Current DoD Employees: If a current permanent CES employee, you shall be granted administrative return rights. If not a current permanent CES employee, you may be granted administrative return rights if agreed to by your CONUS organization.
  • In accordance with DoD CES Personnel System Implementation Guidance for Overseas Rotations and Administrative Return Rights, employees must be able to satisfy the rotation requirement and tour limitations in DoD Instruction Volume 1230.
  • Duties of the position may require shifted work hours based on operational or mission requirements. Permanent change of shift will be at the determination of the second level supervision.
  • The incumbent may also be in an "oncall" status on a rotational basis with other members of their team.

  • The incumbent may demonstrate an acceptable experience level as an alternative to a Foundational Qualification Option, however, failure to demonstrate an acceptable experience level and/or acquire FQO certifications may result in a termination of employment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
