Your mission:

The Finance operations department is responsible for supervising the daily accounting and financial activities, the preparation of the reporting to investors and banks as well as the coordination with the external auditors.

Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures and forms for the recordation of fixed assets, RoU and depreciation
Drive technology upgrades and improve related to fixed assets and RoU accounting processes
Monitor and process transactions on a daily basis. Record fixed asset acquisitions, transfers and dispositions in the accounting system
Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and RE FX (SAP Leasing Tool) in the monthend closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annually reporting of fixed assets and depreciation
Define, review, and maintain Useful Life under IFRS and HGB for the calculation of the depreciation
Generate monthly depreciation postings and annual account reports to management
Calculate Depreciation Forecast and Budget
Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
Prepare fixed asset roll forward
Organize and maintain fixed asset documentations for references
Preparation of documentation for internal/external audit requests and internal control system data requests
Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable
Calculate own work capitalized
Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets and conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets

Your profile:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting
5 or more years progressive accounting experience
ACCA, CPA or similar is a plus
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting transaction flows including system interfaces
Strong fixed assets experience
Mainframe G/L experience
Working knowledge of SAP
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Independent, structured, goal

- and solution-oriented way of working

Analytic and agile mindset
High level of commitment and team spirit
Project management is a plus
Audit experience is a plus
Fluent Business English and German
Spanish is a plus
