- Prioritise Local Finance Activities:
- Take immediate ownership of all local finance activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with German GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
- Lead and manage the local finance team, providing direction and mentorship.
- ERP Blueprint Exercise:
- Champion the development of a comprehensive ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system blueprint to integrate their financial processes and systems.
- Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to define functional requirements, data migration strategies, and implementation timelines.
- Oversee the selection process for a potential ERP vendor (if applicable).
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulators.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a mid-sized or large manufacturing or healthcare company.
- In-depth understanding of German GAAP and international financial reporting standards.
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems and experience with ERP selection or implementation projects (highly desirable).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is required.
