Job purpose
Are you passionate about investments? Interested in shaping the credit strategy of Allianz's portfolios that allow securing the future of millions around the global?


The fixed income strategy team is together with Allianz' local managers across the globe responsible for designing and implementing the investment strategy in insurance portfolios.

As such, we cooperate closely with our colleagues within the global AIM network as well as our internal and external asset managers in developing our investment strategy and adapting it to the specific needs of the portfolios.

Being part of the fixed income strategy team, you will contribute to achieving superior investment results for our clients.

Your focus area will be in shaping the investment strategy for traded fixed income securities with a focus credit and cross currency markets.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an international investment team managing a truly global portfolio with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.


Key responsibilities

  • Contribute credit expertise to shape the strategy of Allianz Group and local portfolios, balancing markets and insurance needs
  • Analyze capital markets developments with focus on credit; Develop and employ tools for market intelligence
  • Be expert on longduration, cross currency and cross asset class evaluation
  • Evaluate and develop new investment solutions for insurance needs and investment opportunities
  • Compose credit investment proposals and updates for Allianz community and committees
  • Build and maintain close relationships with local investment teams across the globe as well as group stakeholders and internal and external portfolio managers; Enhance efficiency for all stakeholders by acting as a platform for expertise

Key requirements

  • Excellent relevant academic degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in investment functions ideally in portfolio steering or credit; Experience in fixed income community or asset management is a plus
  • CFA and/or ESGcertificates are a plus
  • Fluent English written and spoken, German or an additional major language are a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, as well as Bloomberg and Eikon
  • Strong analytical and communication skills as well as results orientation
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, personal drive and "getting things done" attitude
