- As lead of the machine learning team, you are responsible for the technical management and coordination of software development in the area of "machine learning".
- You will take technical leadership in the conception and implementation of complex ML projects in various subject areas such as recommender systems, intelligent search, image and text classification, and time series forecasting.
- You promote the further development and growth of the team through mentoring, code reviews and the establishment of best practices.
- You work closely with other departments to optimize the integration of ML solutions into the product landscape, improve internal processes and continuously increase the added value for our users.
- You drive innovation by evaluating the latest research and translating it into practical solutions that are scalable and efficient.
- You are responsible for selecting and evaluating technologies and tools that help improve our ML infrastructure and processes.
- You ensure successful collaboration with other specialist departments.

What sets you apart

You have a higher degree in (business) information technology, mathematics or a related field and have several years of professional experience in the field of machine learning.
You have in-depth knowledge of Python and the relevant ML frameworks (e.g. sci-kit learn, pandas, pytorch/tensorflow) as well as SQL and object-oriented programming.
You always have your finger on the pulse of the latest developments in the field of ML / AI and are characterized by your ability to quickly analyze innovative technologies and evaluate their potential for use in our product and to increase the efficiency of internal processes. For example, by connecting external LLM services.
You have a proven track record of managing machine learning projects and leading technical teams.
You are experienced in dealing with modern ML-Ops concepts and have already successfully implemented them in the cloud and on-premise.
You also bring in-depth experience in classic software development, including knowledge of software architecture, design patterns and clean code principles, which are essential for developing robust, maintainable and scalable systems.
Your ability to communicate complex technical issues and make strategic decisions sets you apart.
